$35 up from start of month after a downswing brought me down to break even point. Played a few cash games just for fun and lost one buy in. Played several $2 tournaments and have started getting into the money more frequently, which has improved my bankroll to no end. Net gain for today is $15 Goals: BR: $100 for end of month. I think I played the almost perfect game of poker yet. There were only 3 points in the tournament, one was a dubious call against all-in bubble play. I am the Big Blind there was one caller in front of me and I check on the BB whilst holding 56o. Flop shows 785 rainbow. This is good for me and probably bad for the other guy. Because he is more than likely holding an Ace or picture cards, and I'm holding a open ended straight draw. I raise 3BB which is a 1/3rd of his chip stack. He re-raises all-in. I call. I'm holding 8 outs he could win If I don't make my straight. Odds weren't in my favour but I was only commiting a 1/3rd of my chip stack anyway, it was worthwhile to knock him out. turn shows a 4c and I made my straight. He busts out in 4th and I move on to win the tournament with everyone wary of me because of my solid play throughout the tournament. Code: Statistics for 80 Hands

Showdown 5 100% 6% I'm also keeping a table on my bankroll management. I started out with $50 which has grown to $72 over 18 days with two $1 tourney's a day. I read an interesting article on a poker pro Chris Furguson attempting to start with $0 and make it into $10,000. It took him 1 1/2 years but he did it. So I'm attempting to replicate it (although not starting with $0) with tight bankroll management so that I cannot go bust. but continue to make a healthy growth. My goal for the end of the month is to double my bankroll to $100. I'm gonig to move upto $2 tournaments when I reach $150 but move back down to $1 tournaments when that decreases to $120. Becauuse the increase in skill level although minor, there is still a skill gap there. I did try a $2 tourney the other day, I came 7/9 because of my impatience. But the skill level is higher, or maybe there were some sharks there. Either way, I need to get better, both at poker and at building my bankroll. 0 Comments 02-15-2008 03:27 PM
Well its been a while. Just basically been playing low tournament poker. 10 SnG at $1.25 a pop 3 have been out of the money 1 in 3rd @ 1.8 1 in 2nd@ 2.7 5 in 1st @ 4.5 I've been reading a lot of stuff on bank roll management and an interesting article by a poker pro that has started with $0 and made it into $25k at one point. I started off with $50 and it was fell to $41 at one point before i started my 5 day winning streak. It now stands at $56. With Bank Roll management theory I should be able to play $2 SnG tournaments with $50, which I am not going to do for one specific reason, safety. I wish to build it upto $100 first before moving on to the next level as I want to gain experience along the way. I'm playing single table tournaments but the real money is at multi-table tournaments. Which I am pretty piss poor at, at the moment. I've been practicing at play money tables which are ok once the competition has dropped to 60% of the entrants after like 5 hands. Then its like a regular game. My MTT stats are (play) played 5 1 in 1st 1 in 4th 3 OOTM Until I can get into the money 60% of the time I will be losing money. But getting into the top 4 will reap instant rewards. Freerolls I am also pretty miffed at because I haven't been getting in the money, but the last freeroll I played in it took 3 hours and from 2700 entrants there were only 40 people left. Poker Freeroll I should know better than to go all in with QTsuited pre flop. Oh well it was a freeroll tournament, so that takes the pain away from it only a little. Although I was holding the chip average with 40 more people to knockout before the final table. I should hold my impulses better. That being said though, I folded KT and JT and then on each flop it was two pair and on the turn and river of each respectful hand it was a full house. RAGH!RAGH! You win some you lose some quite frankly.  Total winnings $0.30Monster Hunter Freedom 2 I now have killed enough Shogun Cenataurs to make a full set of U armour, however I would be mightly skint. Besides te annoyance of breaking a total of 4 shells as well as capturing both Shoguns I recieve just one Gravios Skl Shl. Which is quite rediculous as I was expecting atleast 2 shells. I can't kill a Basarios to save my life, I''ll need a bigger hammer...
